Naam hai daaru sabh rogan da sabhe dukh mitave naam;
Naam ch shakti ainee loko bigrhi gal banave naam. Jisdi akh vich noor na hove raah us nun dikhlave naam; Swarg da naksha ban janda ey jis ghar vi vas jave naam. Poora satgur jag te loko naam da hi vapari ey; Naam ehda nirankar hai jo vi jaan lave nirankari ey. |

The divine name is the panacea for all the ills; it removes the sufferings of all kinds;
The divine name is so effective, O' men, that even things gone upset get settled. The divine name shows the way to the one whose eyes cannot see; The Divine Name, as it dwells in a house, turns it into heaven. O' men, the True Master in this world is the trader of the Divine Name only; The Divine Name is the Formless God, Nirankar, and the one who knows Him, is a Nirankari. |
Meaning
One who gets to know Nirankar becomes a Nirankari. The divine name is the cure (panacea) of all ills (problems). It removes the sufferings of all kinds. The divine name is so effective,
that even the things gone upset get settled. The divine name shows the way (of salvation) to the one whose eyes cannot see. Once the Divine Name dwells in a house, turns it into a heaven.
True Master in this world is the trader/ giver of the Divine Name only. Here Baba Avtar Singh ji says, Divine Name is the Formless God, Nirankar, and the one who knows Him, is a Nirankari.
